How to order a personalised coffin

Ordering a personalised coffin is simpler than most families expect, and your funeral director does most of it for you. Here is how it works from start to finish.

1. Choose a design, or an idea

Look through the designs and note the one you like. If you would rather have something created from your own photographs, read about personalised coffins or have a go with Design it Yourself. You do not need to have everything decided. A rough idea is enough to begin.

2. Tell your funeral director

Lifestyle Coffins are supplied through funeral homes across Australia. Tell your funeral arranger which design you would like, or use the button on any design page to send the details to your funeral home. If your funeral home has not ordered from us before, that is no problem. They can contact us and we will look after it with them. You can also find a funeral home that already offers Lifestyle Coffins.

3. Send photos and words

If you are adding photographs, names or a message, pass them to your funeral director or send them to us. Ordinary phone photos are usually fine. Our designers place everything and tidy the images up.

4. Approve the proof

We send a digital proof showing exactly how the coffin will look. Check names, dates and spelling carefully, and ask for any changes. Nothing is printed until you are happy.

5. Delivery to the funeral home

Once the proof is approved, the coffin is finished in our Port Adelaide studio and delivered to your funeral home before the service. As a guide:

If your timing is tight, call us on 1300 250 307. Urgent orders can very often be met.

Payment

Your funeral home handles the order and payment as part of the funeral account, so there is nothing to pay us directly.

Planning ahead

Some people choose their own design in advance and let their family or funeral director know. If that is you, browse the designs, note the name of the one you like, and keep it with your funeral wishes.
